Taxonomy
Cirrhochrista sp. 1. An unnamed morphotype resembling Cirrhochrista semibrunnea Hampson, [1895] 1895: 918 (TL Bhutan), in the BMNH and SLS Colls.
Description
A primarily brown and white sp. with a distinctive FW patterning where the brown subapical, sub-termenal and basal fasciae delineate a white figure of eight shaped space. The HW has a small brown subtermenal patch like Cirrhochrista semibrunea, unlike C. disparalis where the HW has a broad brown subtermenal band. Like Cirrhochrista semibrunea: the abdomen has the two basal segments white laterally, with a slightly broadening dark orange-centred mid-dorsal fascia. Remaining segments with nearly all the dorsal fascia dark. C. semibrunnea has a broad and complete median fascia, unlike this sp..
