Taxonomy
The female holotype of Charitoprepes lubricosa Warren, 1896: 136 is from India Khasis [Meghalaya, Khasia Hills).
Description
A very distinctive purple and brown moth with a speckled pattern of scales on the FW. The FW termenae are a diffuse pale pale grey speckled with brownish scale patches. The FW subcosta is brownish purple with a white median area. Sub-apically the FW has a triangular dark area. The discocellular area has an elongate spot and a circular spot at each end of the cell. The HW is mainly greyish brown paler proximally.
