Taxonomy

The holotype of Glyphodes telphusalis Walker, 1859: 974-975 from Sarawak is in the Oxford. U.M.N.H. The partly unspread male holotype, type #1000, was collected by A.R. Wallace.

Description

This purple-grey, back and white sp. is readily identified by its FW patterning, with a narrow white band antemedianally and a large ‘B’ shaped white patch at the post median position. A specimen has been DNA barcoded [BOLD taxon #19537] Sample ID: Pyr000788 (Ratnasingham & Hebert 2007).
