Taxonomy
The holotype of Sameodes monostictalis Hampson, 1899: 176. is from Indonesia, Amboina; Papua, Yos Sudarso Bay [Humboldt Bay].
Comb n. to Eusabena (Shaffer et al., 1996: 197).
These non-spotted morphotypes of the Eusabena monostictalis group may be better placed elsewhere. We are temporarily treating it in Callibotys Munroe & Mutuura, 1969: 299.
Description
A distinctive brown and yellow sp.. The central brown patch of the FW with a white spot in the FW cell and another smaller spot basally in the cell. The HW has brown mottlings with traces of purplish on a fulvous background. See Callibotys sp. 1 & sp. 2.
