Taxonomy
Holotype, India, Andaman Is. The holotype of Rhodoneura tetraonalis Moore, 1877:617, fig. 10 from the Andaman Is. (Port Blair) is in the NHM (Mi7358). ms comb. n. (Shaffer, 1992 LepIndex). It is possibly synonymous with:
- C.anticalis
Description
A small glossy silvery species almost identical with C.anticalis. It resembles C.argentalis but without the purplish FW blotch. It has fawn thyridid reticulation and fawn submarginal lines parallel to the margins. There is a pale diffuse partial post median band close to the inner margin of the FW and a tiny black spot set in a shiny white patch at the FW apex. There are two more black spots at the apical end of the HW submarginal line.
