Taxonomy
The holotype of Crambus tonsalis Walker, 1863: 190 from Sarawak is in the BMNH.
Description
The FW is pale brown mixed with whitish, especially on the inner margin. The FW has an angled post median line and a thin dark terminal line which expands to form spots on the veins. The HW is more uniform pale brown. Head and thorax are white with a slight coppery tint. The patagia, antennae are coppery brown and the underside of the long palpi are similar but are white towards the ends above
