Taxonomy

The holotype of Salbia diagonalis Guenée, 1854: 201, is from Java. comb. n. to Bradina (Yamanaka 1983: 172)

Description

This species has grey-white ground colour with broad brown submarginal shading. A brown subcosta extends to a elongated orbicular spot on the FW. There is an obvious broad straight median stripe crossing both wings. The underside is identical. The abdominal tip is ochreous.

This is one of the few Bradina spp. that is not mainly brown. This also includes B. modestalis Lederer, 1863 and B. aurata Butler 1887. Their generic placement may need to be re-evaluated.
