Botyodes? sp. 6

Taxonomy

Botyodes? sp. 6 is represented by a specimen labelled as a holotype of Mimorista marginalis Warren 1896b: 114-115. Types of Mimorista marginalis Warren in the BMNH are from India (Meghalaya, Khasia Hills) and Burma (Tennaserim Donaut Hills). Although listed as a junior subjective syn. of Ategumia geographicalis (Guenée, 1854) in the LepIndex, Shaffer (1970, [note on LepIndex card]) considered marginalis a good sp. This was followed by Globiz where it is treated in Mimorista. The types in BMNH are similar but is probable these are not conspecific and the morphotype from Burma may be an undescribed Botyodes sp. similar to Botys euryphaea Meyrick, 1932, 318 [which led to it being listed as a syn. of Uresiphita geographicalis].

The FW subcosta is more fulvous and has hollow orbicular and reniform stigmas outlined with brown there is also an evenly curved brown antemedian line.
