Taxonomy
The female holotype of Aediodes trimaculalis Snellen, 1880: 232-233, Snellen (1884) pl.4, figs 2, 2a, from Sulawesi (Makassar), is in the RMNH Leiden.

Description
A Bocchoris sp. with three obvious white spots, two on the FW but there is also a small white patch on the tornus extending from the fringes. The black abdomen is ringed by white on the first, fifth and eigth segment. A long tuft of white scales project backwards from behind the eyes. Other Bocchoris spp. and morphospecies have more white spots. See Bocchoris sp. 4 which is similar. Other Bocchoris spp. and morphospecies have more white spots on the FW.
