Typical form Brunei, Bkt. Retak. Fenestrate form Sarawak, Bidi. Var? W. Malaysia, GTE. The holotype of Striglina strigigrapha Hampson, 1914:110 from Sarawak (Sandong) is in the NHM (Mi7327), genitalia slide #8427.

Description
A red-orange-brown species. The patagium is pale (not obvious in the specimen figured). There is considerable variation in pattern and colour. The HW usually has indications of a median fascia although this is often reduced to a dark patch on the costal margin. Some specimens have a large oval fenestra on the FW and there may be smaller fenestrae distal to it. Whalley, (1976:180) notes some variation in the genitalia but had insufficient material to confirm subspeciation. The illustrations on Plate 7 show the non-fenestrate holotype form (Fig. 221), a fenestrate form (Fig. 221a) and another fenestrate variant the exact identity of which is unconfirmed (Fig. 221b).
