Description
This sp. has a narrow dark purplish brown FW costa and wing borders on a golden yellow base. The ‘c’ shaped stigmatic mark in the FW cell is very distinct and there is a small spot at the cell base. It has a small distinct spot basally on the HW subcosta. Note the the narrow post median fascia line on the wings is finely serrate or broken. The dark brown submedian line is incomplete on the FW and absent from the HW. The thorax and abdomen are orange-yellow but brownish near the tip. This male has large delicate pale valvae with no obvious anal hair scales.
Compared with B. ptochura the FW is much more elongate.
