Unlike most of the Bacotoma ptochura Group this sp. is more uniformly brown with less distinct submarginal brown areas on the FW the yellow is confined to the anterior margin and on the HW to the basal area. The HW has a post-medial line which breaks centrally into two arcs separated from the dark brown subtermenal area by a pale band. The abdomen is orange, paler at the base and has paired black marks, bordered by white areas, near its tip. The small spot seen near the base of the HW subcosta in many Bacotoma ptochura group spp, is absent.
Schulze (2000) Taxa #602 ‘Syngamia sp. 4’.
It resembles Bacotoma sp. 2 but the lineation is different and less well defined.
