Taxonomy
Bacotoma sp. 10 nr. B. ptochura Meyrick, 1894; as taxon P91 in the BRL morphoseries in the HSB Coll.
Description
A dark brown sp. with bright yellow centrally on the FW bordered by thick but indistinct antemedian and postmedian lines. The HW is yellow basally with a large dark spot. The head, thorax and abdomen are dark brown. Superficially this sp. resembles a dark var. of Omiodes diemenalis (Guenée 1854) but note the more rounded shape of the FW apex. It is much darker than most of the morphotypes of the ‘Bacotoma ptochura group’.
