Description
A dark coppery brown sp. with distinct darker submedian and post median lines on FW & HW. The abdomen is long and dark fuscous and in common with many Bacotoma spp. the end segments of the abdomen of the male has two pairs of black and white marks and obvious elongate valvae at its tip, which Yang et al (2019: 10, Figs 4 A-E), illustrate. Yang et al (2019: 14, 16) also illustrate the male genitalia, figs. 5D & 6D and the female genitalia in fig 7C. Platamonia oggalis Swinhoe 1906: 288 TL Meghalaya (Khasia Hills) and Botys illatalis Walker 1865 [1886]: 1436 TL Sula, are similar. Bacotoma binotalis & B. camillusalis are more yellow with brown sub-marginal areas.
