Taxonomy
Agrioglypta sp. 1 is an unnamed morphotype from PHS in the Schulze Coll. Similar to A. malayana Butler.
Description
There are slight FW & HW patterning differences compared with A. excelsalis and A. malayana, especially in the submarginal fasciae which are broader. The brown colours are also slightly more fulvous. Note the broad dark blotch near the FW hind edge. A. malayana males have short black anal scales not the bushy black based & very long yellowish anal hair pencils of this sp., which also has a fringe of spiky black scales at the abdomen tip.
